E H Wrinch and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Beaumont Creek at Erwarton, Suffolk at National Grid Reference TM 20514 34027.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 216 cubic metres an hour
  • 5,184 cubic metres a day
  • 288,190 cubic metres a year

Between November and March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used to fill a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation purposes.

Further details are: of this annual quantity, 68,190 cubic metres per year is licensed under licence serial number 8/36/19/*S/0157, which is due for licence renewal.
