The aim of this ARI is to:

  • raise awareness and understanding amongst the external research community of DWP’s research priorities
  • encourage and facilitate closer working between DWP and external experts

The report brings together the main evidence priorities underpinning DWP’s objectives. DWP’s evidence requirements are wide-ranging and evolve over time. The document is therefore not exhaustive. It provides a starting point from which we hope to engage with the external research community. It gives an overview of DWP’s priority research areas. It does not specify particular projects or pieces of analysis DWP is doing or planning. DWP welcomes research on any topic that can add to our evidence base.
