Details

The following includes some of DVLA’s achievements for 2025 to 2026 included in this year’s report. We:

  • dealt with more than 100 million individual customer transactions, with more than 85% of this year’s transactions processed through our digital channels

  • processed more than 6 billion digital interactions

  • collected more than £9.03 billion in Vehicle Excise Duty (VED)

  • raised more than £301 million in gross revenue through the sale of personalised registrations and cherished transfers

  • issued 12.3 million driving licences and 18.5 million V5Cs

  • made 751,058 medical licensing decisions

  • have had over 9.4 million customers sign up for a Driver and vehicles account

  • answered 13.4 million queries through our Contact Centre

  • retained our Customer Service Excellence standard for the 18th consecutive year

  • recycled 82% of our waste, with less than 1% sent to landfill

  • raised £30,616 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association
