Highlights of the DVLA annual report and accounts:

  • we issued 11.2 million driving licences and 11.1 million registration certificates
  • 47.4 million customers taxed their vehicles with 40.3 million (85%) choosing to do so online
  • we retained our place as one of the top five Public Services organisations as measured by the Institute of Customer Service
  • we retained both the Customer Service Excellence and Customer Contact Association standards
  • we collected over £6 billion in Vehicle Excise Duty (VED)
  • we won several awards including the Princess Royal training Award, Team of the Year at the Contact Centre Association Excellence Awards and Platinum Award winner at the LG Public Sector Excellence in Communications
  • we raised £62,033.45 for our Charity of Choice 2019, Tŷ Olwen, a Swansea based palliative care service and hospice
