Driving instructor associations and organisations

Updated 9 June 2023

Applies to England, Scotland and Wales

1. About associations and organisations

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) encourages you to join approved driving instructor (ADI) associations and organisations so your interests are properly represented in talks. However, you do not have to join one to be an ADI.

Each association and organisation has its own terms and conditions.

There are also local associations and organisations as well as the national ones listed here.

2. National associations and organisations

These are 3 national associations and organisations that represent and support ADIs.

Together, they make up the National Associations Strategic Partnership (NASP) - the steering group for national ADI associations.
