Details of the application

Dr Michelle Jackson has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence for an experiment. Water abstracted will be discharged back into the watercourse.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from a surface water stream known as Wytham stream (also known as Seacourt stream) at National Grid Reference SP 47677 09447.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 14.4 cubic metres an hour

  • 345.6 cubic metres a day

  • 18,000 cubic metres a year

  • between March and May inclusive in each year.
