Research background
Findings from this report are being used to support the transformation of the health assessment service for Personal Independence Payments and Work Capability Assessments.
Research value
The research was conducted in Spring 2022. Since then, DWP and health assessment Providers have worked together to improve recruitment and retention. The full-time equivalent health assessor workforce has increased in the period to the report being published.
