Jason Holt

Full name of applicant: Jason Holt

Title of former Civil Service role: Director of Testing

Date left the Civil Service: 15 January 2021

New employer: Hughes Healthcare and Biotech – Hughes Group

New appointment (including when taken up): Chairman, October 2021

Department’s decision on application: approved with a reminder that you may not use any privileged information gained during your time at the department for the benefit of your new employer.

In other circumstances and balancing the seniority and nature of the role with your short length of service, the department would also have placed restrictions on any lobbying of the UK government on behalf of the new employer and on involvement in any DHSC, NHS Test and Trace or UK Health Security Agency bids for 3 months.

However, as more than 3 months had passed since the application was submitted, the department was content not to place any further restrictions on the appointment.
