Freedom of Information response regarding the internet practices of Department for Transport (DfT) staff. The original request asked for:

  • the most visited websites by DfT staff, and the total time spent on these sites
  • a list of banned websites and keywords
  • details of any disciplinary procedures, including outcomes

The response gives:

  • a list of the top 1000 websites visited between January and May 2011 by DfT staff
  • measures to prevent the inappropriate use of websites
  • 2 disciplinary cases of inappropriate internet use between 2009 and 2010
