This is a response to a Freedom of Information request concerning the amount spent on social media within the Department for Transport (DfT). The request asks for details of the:
- number of staff at DfT
- number of Twitter accounts and handles which DfT is responsible for
- number of DfT employees with social media products
The request also asked for information about the amount spent on:
- social media products, training and consultants
- getting Twitter accounts to appear in the ‘Who to Follow’ panel on the Twitter website
Additionally the requester asked how much was paid, and to whom, for social media costs, such as promoted posts on Twitter.
