Details

The Department for Exiting the European Union was established by the Prime Minister in July 2016 to support the Cabinet Office in overseeing the development and delivery of the UK’s negotiations to leave the EU.

The Department delivered and coordinated a considerable amount across Government across the three deeply interconnected fronts of EU exit: the negotiations to leave the EU; the domestic implications and managing a smooth withdrawal; and engagement and communications in the UK and beyond.
