Declaration of humanity by leaders of faith and leaders of belief

Leaders from many faiths and beliefs call to prevent sexual violence in conflict and denounce the stigma faced by survivors, including children born of sexual violence.

Lord Ahmad, the Prime Minister’s Special Representative on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict (PSVI) developed this Declaration with the UK-based PSVI Faith and Belief Leaders Working Group.

The Declaration has received significant support globally from faith and belief leaders, community leaders, and faith-based organisations in a range of countries including Iraq, Kosovo, Sri Lanka, Sierra Leone and the Vatican.
