The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 involving substantial change to a permit from Sapa Profiles UK Limited.

  • Application number: EPR/LP3937VP/V003
  • Regulated facility type: 2.2 A(1) b) (i) and (ii) Non-ferrous metals; melting with capacity >4t/d lead/cadmium or 20t/d others; and any furnace (other than vacuum), bath or other holding vessel used for melting with a holding capacity >5t and 5.4 A(1) b) (iv) Disposal, recovery or a mix of disposal and recovery of non-hazardous waste; Recovery with capacity >75t/d involving treatment in shredders of metal waste
  • Regulated facility location: Saw Pit Industrial Estate, Unit 1, Mansfield Road, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 5NH

  • the materials, substances and energy it will use and generate
  • the conditions of its site
  • the source, nature and quantity of its foreseeable emissions and their significant effects on the environment
  • the proposed techniques for preventing, reducing, and monitoring its emissions and preventing and recovering waste
  • and an outline of the main alternatives, if any, considered.
