The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 (that does not involve substantial change) from Severn Trent Water Limited.

The Company wish to introduce chemical dosing as an aid to achieve their suspended solids limit during the spring season when the work’s is most susceptible to carryover of solids (sometimes described as “spring sloughing”).

The Environment Agency must decide whether to grant or refuse the application. If they grant it, they must decide what conditions to include in the permit.
