DCMS gender pay gap - 2018/19 report

Details

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) has prepared this report as part of the legal requirement for public authorities to publish their gender pay gap every year. DCMS is committed to minimising the gender pay gap, and our approach to pay seeks to reward all staff fairly, regardless of gender.

Since our last gender pay gap report, we have seen a decrease in our gender pay gap on all measures: mean, median and bonus gaps. Although the grade balance of men and women across the department has improved since last year, our gender pay gap can still be largely attributed to the number of women in our junior grades.

Our latest action plan builds on our previous commitments and aims to improve the diversity of our talent pools, the transparency of our pay, reward and promotion processes and the number of staff taking up shared parental leave.
