David Steel Welsh and Linda Marion Welsh have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 13/43/021/S/225, which authorises the abstraction of water from the Eastern Avon at Sharcott Mill, Pewsey, Wiltshire, at National Grid Reference SU 14799 59010.

The licence currently authorises the abstraction of:

  • 45.5 cubic metres per hour
  • 454 cubic metres per day
  • 26,370 cubic metres per year

For spray irrigation between 1 May and 31 August inclusive.

The variation applied for is to extend the period of abstraction to 1 April to 30 September inclusive.
