David Armstrong Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Witham catchment.
The application is to vary a full licence to abstract water as follows:
- at an instantaneous rate of 25 litres per second
- 90 cubic metres an hour
- 2,160 cubic metres a day
- 31,950 cubic metres a year
- between 1 April to 31 October
- at National Grid References TF 09036 70941 to TF 10014 70229; TF 10129 70141 to TF 10367 69965; TF 07691 69111 to TF 09931 70216; and TF 05901 69673 to TF 07935 70908
- from abstraction location South Delph, Branston Sewer Drain and Black Fen Lane Drain.
The water will be used for trickle irrigation.
