Research reviewing the reopening of the Dartmoor Line. The research aims were to:

  • identify the early consequences of the reopening of the Dartmoor Line
  • assess the extent to which the line has provided benefits for transport users, including socio-economic benefits to the local area

The findings of this research contribute to the evidence for rail investment, as well as informing future rail project business cases and appraisals.

The Dartmoor Line reopened in 2021 and was the first scheme to be provided through the Restoring Your Railway Fund.
