The Department for Transport ran a call for evidence about the role of dangerous goods safety advisers (DGSAs) from 3 October 2024 until 17 January 2025.

The call for evidence asked DGSAs and employers about:

  • their experience
  • the challenges they face
  • how government can help

292 respondents took part in the survey including 268 DGSAs, representing around 12% (at time of the survey) of the total cohort of DGSAs in the UK.
