Culham lock tail layby refurbishment: river restriction notice
Published 25 October 2018
When
Monday 29 October 2018 to Sunday 31 March 2019
Where
Culham reach: Culham Lock tail layby, downstream of Culham Road Bridge
Details
The navigation layby downstream of Culham Lock, below the road bridge, is being refurbished to improve the safety provision for river users. Works include the construction of a low-level wall to retain the earth bank that runs parallel to the layby.
These repairs will not affect the operation of Culham Lock or the tail layby immediately downstream of the lock. The lock will remain open during these works.
River users are reminded to be aware of construction plant, for example barges, next to the tail layby downstream of the road bridge and proceed with caution as they approach or leave the lock.
We apologise for any inconvenience these works cause and thank you for your patience during this time.
