Quick Start

This dashboard provides an interactive overview of recommendations from the UK Covid-19 Inquiry and tracks the government’s implementation progress. The Inquiry examines preparations and responses to the pandemic across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, with recommendations organised across ten modules. Data is updated periodically to reflect the latest implementation status.

How to Use

Overview Section

  • Summary Metrics: View total recommendations and the number closed at a glance
  • Module Chart: Stacked bar chart showing open and closed recommendations for each of the ten inquiry modules. Modules to be updated

Data Exploration

  • Recommendations Overview: Filter the complete list of recommendations by status (Open or Closed) to focus on specific implementation stages
  • Recommendation Detail View: Use the two-step selection process - first select a module, then choose a specific recommendation to view comprehensive details including the inquiry recommendation, government response, progress updates, and last update date. Modules to be updated

Key Features

  • Module-Based Organisation: Recommendations are organised across ten inquiry modules, each addressing different aspects of pandemic preparedness and response. Modules to be updated
  • Data Export: Download buttons allow you to export filtered recommendation lists or individual recommendation details as CSV files for further analysis
  • Interactive Filtering: Use dropdown menus to filter by status or navigate through modules and recommendations
  • Visual Indicators: Colour-coding distinguishes open (blue) and closed (green) recommendations for easy identification
  • Progress Tracking: Each recommendation includes detailed progress updates and the date of last update

Recommendation Status Categories

  • Open - Implementation work is currently underway. These recommendations are actively being addressed and progress updates are regularly provided
  • Closed - The recommendation has been fully implemented and the required actions completed

Additional Information

  • The dashboard displays recommendations across ten inquiry modules, each focusing on different aspects of pandemic response and preparedness
  • Data is updated periodically as implementation progresses and new information becomes available
