Can the department provide information regarding the total cost (either projected or known) of conducting the Independent Review of the Office, Role and Functions of the Children’s Commissioner for England, as requested by Education secretary Michael Gove?

Release

Dr John Dunford is conducting the Independent Review of the Role and Function of the Children’s Commissioner. His remit letter details an estimated budget of up to £50,000 to cover his costs and the cost of any external consultation and analysis he may commission. It also provides Dr Dunford with a small secretariat of three civil servants from the Department of Education.
