We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following: 

What contracts have been awarded to Balfour Beatty Plc by your Department; and what the (i) purpose and (ii) value of any such contracts awarded has been since May 2010.

We released the following information on 2 December 2011:

No Home Office contracts have been let to Balfour Beatty since May 2010. However, three contracts have been let to Mansell Construction Ltd which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Balfour Beatty since May 2010.

These are:

  1. Contract for a replacement gas main - value £105,000 -
    UKBA Lunar House

  2. Contract for an office fit out project - value £440,575
    UKBA - Various buildings - Sandford House, Dominion Court, Chadwick House, Coventry Road (the Sheldon Office) and Bishop’s Court

  3. Contract for structural repairs - value £80,107.65
    National Offender Management Service - Busher Lodge, Kendall. Although Busher Lodge is managed by NOMS (part of the Ministry of Justice) the work was carried out under a Home Office contract.
