This letter is a response to a Freedom of information request for details of the number of staff at DfT and its agencies who are eligible for:
- a contracted day off for Christmas shopping
- a contracted day off for Maundy Thursday
- specific days contracted off outside of national Bank holidays and the total number of these days
The response letter states that staff are eligible for a half day off for Maundy Thursday and a total of 2.5 days contracted days off (pro-rated for part-time staff) outside of national Bank Holidays (including the Maundy Thursday allowance) although no contracted time is allowed for Christmas shopping. The number of staff affected, as of the date of writing (28 May 2012), is listed.
