Confirming consent from third parties: caseworker guidance

This document tells HM Passport Office staff how to deal with applications completed and consented to by third parties.

Details

Passport applications may be completed on the applicant’s behalf by someone else because:

  • the applicant has a mental or physical disability, learning difficulty, temporary injury, or cannot read or write
  • the third party is acting in place of a parent or legal guardian
