A meeting of the COP President and devolved administration ministers responsible for COP26 took place today. The meeting was chaired by the COP President, Rt Hon Alok Sharma MP.
The attending Ministers were:
- from the UK Government: COP President, Rt Hon Alok Sharma MP
- from the Scottish Government: Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero, Energy and Transport, Michael Matheson MSP
- from the Welsh Government: Minister for Climate Change, Julie James MS
- from the Northern Ireland Executive: Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, Edwin Poots MLA
The Ministers reflected on COP26 and discussed their plans and priorities for the UK COP Presidency year.
