The fourth COP26 Devolved Administrations Ministerial Group took place today. The meeting was chaired by the COP President Designate, Rt Hon Alok Sharma MP.
The attending Ministers were:
From the UK Government: COP President Designate, Rt Hon Alok Sharma MP; Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Scotland, David Duguid MP and Minister of State for Northern Ireland, Robin Walker MP;
From the Scottish Government: Minister for Environment and Land Reform, Mairi McAllan MSP.
From the Welsh Government: Minister for Climate Change, Julie James MS.
From the Northern Ireland Executive: Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, Edwin Poots MLA.
The Ministerial Group discussed UK objectives for COP26, summit preparations, domestic engagement and communications, and future engagement.
