ChildHope will provide inclusion training for staff, local partners, community members and key programme stakeholders on the Social Model and human rights-based approach to disability so that individuals are able to address their own discriminatory attitudes and behaviours, as well as challenge stigma and discrimination within others.

By 2020, as a priority within ChildHope’s five-year Strategic Plan.

B. Commitments for Inclusive Education:

The proportion of children and young people with disabilities represented in ChildHope’s education programmes will better reflect that of the society our partners are operating in. For example, in Ethiopia over 500 girls with disabilities will have access to education and be supported to transition to secondary education as part of the DfID-funded Girls’ Education Challenge.

By 2021, as a priority within ChildHope’s five-year Strategic Plan and the overall impact of the Girls’ Education Challenge programme in Ethiopia.

ChildHope and its local partners will use the Washington Group Questions in programme planning and review so that the organisation can clearly articulate the positive change in the lives of girls and boys with disabilities.
