Details of the application

Chris Middleditch and Roger Middleditch trading as P H Middleditch and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Easton Broad River at National Grid References TM 48892 79567, TM 49009 79818, TM 49401 79353 and TM 49346 79303.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 83.3 cubic metres an hour
  • 2,000 cubic metres a day
  • 34,228.31 cubic metres a year
  • between April and October inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for filling a lagoon for storage for subsequent spray irrigation.
