Parents who pay child maintenance can ask us to consider certain types of income that are not included in the main rules for working out child maintenance. We call this ‘applying for a variation’. This factsheet explains:
- the types of income we can consider
- how parents can apply for a variation
- what effect this can have on the amount of child maintenance
