Details of the application

Charles and Steven Clark trading as C and R Clark have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Went between National Grid References: SE 57771 16707 and SE 58685 17074, SE 59308 17228 and SE 59568 17302, SE 60174 17418 and SE 60658 17638.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 60 cubic metres an hour
  • 900 cubic metres a day
  • 48,000 cubic metres a year
  • Between April and October inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for spray irrigation.
