Details
This rapid review aims to identify and summarise evidence related to the epidemiology of Chapare haemorrhagic fever (caused by Chapare virus).
All studies summarising outbreaks of haemorrhagic fever caused by Chapare virus in any geographic location were eligible for inclusion. Studies reporting unspecified haemorrhagic fevers occurring in Bolivia were also eligible for inclusion as long as Chapare virus could have been the cause.
The rapid review, with research published up to 25 July 2023, includes 5 case reports or case series and one laboratory based experimental study that reported on 2 outbreaks, between 2003 to 2004 and 2019 to 2020.
