Details of the application

CEMEX UK Cement Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number MD/054/0010/013 to abstract water from the Rugby Limestone Member at an area formed by straight lines running between the following National Grid References: SP 49111 75757, SP 49187 75938, SP 49519 75885 and SP 49207 75689 for the purpose of transferring it without intervening use to the Sow Brook at National Grid Reference SP 48616 75847.

The variation applied for is: to increase the annual quantity from 179,409 cubic metres to 745,000 cubic metres.
