Details

The overall objective of this study was to investigate possible ways of assessing the carrying capacity of geographic areas to absorb certain types of land use change and to evaluate appropriate locations for development. The scoping study aimed to establish how the concept of carrying capacity would be applied to the Environment Agency’s work of integrating environmental issues into the land use planning system.
