Details

Suppliers must report on the carbon associated with activities undertaken on behalf of Highways England by downloading and completing the Highways England carbon tool on a quarterly basis, with an option of submitting monthly.

On completion suppliers must generate an export file using the tool and send this, along with any queries, to sustainability@highwaysengland.co.uk. Area based contracts shall make appropriate arrangements to co-ordinate the receipt of carbon returns from subcontractors prior to submission.

The carbon tool guidance provides instruction on how to use the carbon tool. It is also important that users refer to an e-learning package.
