Capital Concrete Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the underground strata and chalk at National Grid Reference TQ 23468 86408 at Cricklewood, London.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 8 cubic metres an hour

  • 80 cubic metres a day

  • 17,920 cubic metres a year

  • at an instantaneous rate of 2.2 litres per second

  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for process water for concrete production.
