C. W. & J. Cargill Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 7/34/10/*G/0088 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata comprising glacial sand and crag at National Grid Reference TG 50158 12712 at West Caister, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

The current licence authorises the abstraction of water for the purposes of spray irrigation (direct), trickle irrigation, and filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.

The variation applied for is to add the purpose of filling a reservoir for subsequent trickle irrigation. There is no increase in abstraction quantities currently licensed.
