C & H Ford Farm Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 16/52/007/G/151 which authorises the abstraction of water all year from underground strata of new red marls and sandstones at Stogursey, Somerset, National Grid Reference ST 20190 41376.

The application seeks an increase in licensed quantities from the presently authorised 5 cubic metres per hour, 30 cubic metres per day, 10,950 cubic metres per year to 5.7 cubic metres per hour, 113.8 cubic metres per day and 41,537 cubic metres per year.

The proposed increased quantities would be abstracted from the point given above, which lies within the Stogursey Brook catchment and the South and West Somerset catchment Abstraction Management Strategy reporting area.
