Details

This research investigates the impact of factors that influence bus journey times. It measures this impact on particular bus routes.

This project consisted of 2 stages.

The first stage was a review of potential factors influencing bus journey time variability. It proposed a methodology for the collection of data to estimate the impact of these different factors.

The second stage was a pilot study to demonstrate the methodology in the ‘real-world’. This involved collecting data over 3 week period from a bus service between Bristol and Bath and analysing the results.

These 2 reports summarise the work undertaken throughout each of these phases.
