Burton Agnes Renewables Limited have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006).
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from underground strata (chalk) at Burton Agnes Field, land north of Burton Agnes, west of Rushton Road at National Grid Reference TA 09244 64278.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 13 cubic metres an hour
- 300 cubic metres a day
- 15,000 cubic metres a year
Abstraction allowed all year.
The water will be used to supply an anaerobic digester plant and for general site use.
