The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Bristol & Avon Transport & Recycling Ltd.

The site is currently operated as an existing waste recycling facility which accepts up to 250,000 tonnes per annum of construction and demolition wastes which are processed into re-usable aggregate products. The permit variation is to increase the site permit boundary, to increase the annual throughput, operational hours and to add a washing activity to the existing limits of activities for the washing of aggregates and soils.
