An application has been made to the Environment Agency by Brite Partnership (North East) Limited. The Environment Agency are required to give notice of this application. The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Don at Templeborough, at National Grid Reference (NGR) SK 41814 91907.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 105 cubic metres an hour
  • 2,205 cubic metres a day
  • 715,000 cubic metres a year

The water will be used for evaporative cooling and industrial plant cleaning.
