Unlawful interference with right to vote and on a candidate’s election address. Observations made that “however unfair” a member or candidate might feel it to be, the legislation does not prohibit a union’s executives seeking to persuade members to nominate and vote for one candidate rather than another. Section 51 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.
