Details of the application

Blackmoor Estate Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Wey catchment.

The application is to vary a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 5.1 litres per second
  • 18 cubic metres an hour
  • 222 cubic metres a day
  • 25,160 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid References (NGR) SU 77960 33770, SU 78050 33770
  • from abstraction location Blackmoor Estate.

The water will be used for Trickle irrigation.
