Blackheath Jamia Mosque Trust: Charity Commission decision
Published 11 August 2014
Applies to England and Wales
The Commission prepared a draft Order further to s. 69 of the Charities Act which would have the effect of vesting property in holding trustees who would hold the title of the charity’s property in their names on behalf of the charity.
There were objections to the making of this Order and therefore the Commission conducted a decision review under its review procedures.
The reviewer considered the objections as well as further information submitted during the course of the review and concluded that the order should be made. The management trustees confirmed that those named on the order are the current holding trustees and that they want the Commission to make the Order.
