Bewley Homes PLC has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from Beenham Grange Gravel Member underground strata within an area defined by National Grid References SU 44835 63407, SU 45329 63391, SU 45050 63061 and SU 44808 63122 to transfer it to River Enborne at National Grid Reference SU 45133 63332 without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 27.72 cubic metres an hour
- 665.28 cubic metres a day
- 242,827.2 cubic metres a year
- between 2025 and 2035 inclusive.
The water will be used for dewatering as part of construction.
