Details
To facilitate works to refurbish the Bell Weir lock and weir complex, contractors will be assembling equipment, including a small barge in the lock cut.
The barge will occupy approximately 10m of the lock cut width leaving 7m for navigation.
During this period there will be very limited space on the upstream layby.
All vessels must navigate with caution when approaching the lock and maintain lookout for ad hoc restrictions to width of navigation.
