Documents

Details

Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) publishes details of all spending over £500 using an electronic purchasing card solution (ePCS) on a monthly basis. The ePCS has replaced the government procurement card (GPC).

This data is also available on data.gov.uk:

Note

BEIS replaced the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in July 2016.

While we have been able to produce a single BEIS dataset from August 2016 there are some differences as follows.

Ex-DECC GPC transactions are detailed for all expenditure over £500 as extracted from the ex-DECC accounting system. The transactions are published in the month that they are approved rather than the month that the transaction was generated. Transaction References (Column C) are pre-fixed with ‘DECC’.

Ex-BIS GPC transactions are detailed for all expenditure over £500 as extracted from the ex-BIS accounting system. The transactions are published in the month that they are generated. Transaction References (Column C) are pre-fixed with ‘BIS’.
