At the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy you can help to shape the UK’s future and contribute to delivering our ambitious Industrial Strategy.

We have 2 leadership programmes, where, depending on your level of experience, new entrants work as Policy Officers within our diverse and exciting policy portfolios:

  • Graduate programme - targeted at recent graduates with outstanding potential
  • Experienced Entrant programme - for those with at least 3 years relevant work experience who would like to further their development in policy and leadership

Both schemes involve 2 12-month placements, and provide development opportunities which will best place you for a quick progression.
