An application has been made to the Environment Agency by Tim Snipe trading as Barnby Manor Estates. The Environment Agency are required to give notice of this application.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Witham at Manor Farm, Long Lane, Barnby in the Willows, Newark, Nottinghamshire, between National Grid References SK 86286 52558 and SK 87038 52808.

The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods:

  • 17.65 litres per second
  • 76.25 cubic metres per hour
  • 1,525 cubic metres per day
  • 30,503 cubic metres per year

Between May and September inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for spray irrigation.
